Dove Release For Weddings
We love the idea of a newly-wed couple releasing a pair of white doves after the wedding ceremony to symbolize the love and commitment they have for each other.
Imagine the reaction of your wedding guests as you release two beautiful snow white birds into the air
. . . a unique wedding idea . . . although doves have been a symbol of love, hope and fidelity for thousands of years.
Doves are also considered to be a symbol of peace, long life, good luck and prosperity. The Ancient Chinese, Egyptians, Greeks and Romans all acknowledge the symbolism of the Dove and The Bible refers to the dove as a symbol of peace and love. The Holy Spirit is often depicted as a dove.
Doves mate for life, they work hard together and they share parental responsibilities. Both the male and female ensure young chicks are kept warm and nourished.
If you are concerned about releasing doves in an urban environment then consider releasing white pigeons instead.
For that added touch integrate the dove theme by using wedding stationery, table decorations and wedding favours with dove designs and even add a dove cake decoration!
